“weaving energetic awareness and sacred geometry into design”

about

Dakini Space Alchemy formulates interior design based on the principles of Sacred Geometry, Feng Shui and Geomancy.

This use of these principles is important for the following reasons:

  • To create a space which is conducive to healing and well being
  • To express the sacred nature in all the elements of design which results in a new architecture
  • To assist in the most positive flow of energy into and out of a building which enhances the feeling of nurturing and support for all who visit and work in the space
  • To weave energetic awareness and intuitive spatial perception into buildings, the surrounding grounds and landscape

Dakini

Dakini literally means “she who travels in the sky”; this is sometimes rendered poetically as “sky dancer” or “sky walker”.

The word Dakini refers to enlightened compassionate activity embodied as a spirit in female form.

A Dakini inspires the union of skillful means and penetrating awareness, and represents the inspirational impulses of consciousness that lead to understanding and wisdom. Lana has skills and perception to transform the ethereal, energetic, or sub conscious into three dimensional form, creating functional and practical spaces which embody a greater universal wisdom.

Space Alchemy

The ‘magic of the space’ – space alchemy makes the magic happen in the space through design and practicality. Space exists within three dimensions; the alchemy ‘transforms’ whatever is present in that particular space, whilst taking into account the forth dimension of time.

Simply put, space alchemy transforms a space completely.

Dakini Space Alchemy comprises of Lana Whittington, lnterior Designer & Feng Shui Practitioner, creator of sacred and healing spaces, and co-founder of Dakini Space Alchemy, Maxim Haim, Geomancer, Artist & Graphic designer and Ariel Spilsbury, Energetic Spiritual Awareness Facilitator, Sound Therapist, Counsellor, Writer and Author.

Lana Whittington

Lana has been described as a person who transforms spaces through the movement of objects.

“My work has always been led by the mathematical sequences; I remember when I was a child I would reorganise my bedroom into geometric shapes and the books on my bookshelf had to be ordered in sequences of 3, 5, 8 ….in accordance with the Fibonacci sequence,”

Lana Whittington is an experienced Interior Design & Feng Shui Practitioner, a creator of healing and sacred spaces, and is the founder of Dakini Space Alchemy.

Since she was very young, Lana has been moving objects around, arranging and rearranging furniture, reorganising floor plans and layouts and creating inviting sacred spaces. By bringing energetic awareness to one’s living environment, the ability to positively influence life and connect to the alignment of all positive energies becomes possible.

Born in Adelaide, Lana studied Architecture, then specialised in Interior Design at the University of SA, graduating with an Honours thesis based on ‘The Innate Connection between Interior and Exterior Landscapes.’

Continuing this theme, Lana completed a Diploma of Permaculture – the study of society’s relationship to its environment.

Lana’s designs are based on the principles of Sacred Geometry. Completing workshop training and seminars with the Flower of Life Research Organisation, learning the work of Drunvelo Melchizedek, she complemented her passion for designing based on these principles – her interior spaces provoke a conscious connection with the Universe.

Moving to Sydney in 1999, Lana undertook several corporate and professional roles gaining skills in retail and design management and business, as well as acquiring several private commissions in residential interior design.

Since studying Feng Shui Cert IV at the Australian College of Environmental Studies, along with her studies in Interior Design, Lana combines design principles with the art and science of Traditional Feng Shui and Geomancy which aim to bring harmony into the existing earth energies, all of which affect lives, health, wealth and relationships.

Lana consults for residential and business clients, and working with builders, property developers and home renovators to ensure that each property achieves the best possible design outcome.

She is currently undertaking training in Wu Tao teacher training to complement her energetic work and love for the Traditional Chinese Medicine philosophy, gaining skills in healing through the understanding of the five elements and corresponding organs by way of movement of the body.

Lana has a compassionate and perceptive approach to Feng Shui and design which appeals to people who are interested in alternative ways of improving their happiness and well being, and create amazing living spaces. She is passionate about her work, and has a genuine desire to make a difference in peoples lives, both individually, and in the community.

what-is-feng-shui

Feng Shui is the interplay and interconnectedness of energies within a business home or building.

There is no real division between the building and the occupants. Sometimes, there is not a clear division between the past occupants and present occupants energies; or, even more specifically, the energies of the actual site it self, that is to say, the Geobiology of the place.

Why is this so?
It is all to do with man, heaven and earth luck…

What is man luck, heaven luck and earth luck?

Heaven luck is also referred to as Cosmic or Universal Qi, because its influence comes from the heavens. This is both the mental and physical blue print that you inherited at birth.

Heaven luck is the potential you have as an individual based on three factors; genetics and therefore your susceptibility to certain illness; astrology, the planetary influences that shape your personality and previous karma. It accounts for something like 30-40% of why your life is the way it is . It is believed that as heaven luck remains fixed from birth it is only through working on your Earth and Man luck that your health and destiny can be changed.

Man Luck is the most important of all influences because it accounts for 40-50% of who you are. This is determined by how charitable you are and good deeds for others; self education for advancing intellectually and spiritually, and what you think, do and create; that is, positive rather than negative thoughts and actions.

Earth Luck accounts for 20% and represents the environmental influences that affect your everyday life. This includes the influence of land forms, weather changes, magnetic poles, geopathic stress, colour shape, architecture buildings, homes interior spaces and other earthly energies.

Earth luck is determined by the state of the world at the time of incarnation, the prosperity and political climate of the country you were born in and the Feng Shui of your home and work environment or where you spend your time.

Feng Shui and The Law of Attraction

From using crystals to following psychic fortunes, there are many techniques you can use to improve your luck. But if you want to take it a step further, try using feng shui with “the law of attraction”: nature power plus mind over matter.

Feng shui (pronounced ‘fung-shway’) is the art and science of arranging and using elements in your environment to allow the smooth flow of energy, also called Chi or Qi

As popularized in Rhonda Byrne’s book The Secret, the Law of Attraction follows the principles “like attracts like” and “thoughts become things.” It states that everything in the world is made up of energy and you can use your thoughts to attract energies that would bring in happiness, health, love and wealth.

Used together, feng shui and the law of attraction can be powerful tools that can help you improve your life.

There are three kinds of luck in accordance with Traditional Feng Shui

  • Heaven luck which depends on the time, place, date and circumstances you are born into.
  • Human luck determined by your attitudes, behaviors and outlook on life.
  • Earth luck which is affected by your environment: your home, your workplace and your surroundings.

These three kinds of luck are interconnected and improving one can positively affect the others

Improve your home, and you will think, feel, and act differently. (Earth luck)

Improve your destiny, and you will attract your greatest dreams. (Heaven luck)

Improve how you think, feel, and act, and you will improve your destiny. (Human luck)

Among the three kinds of luck, the easiest to change right away is the Earth luck, more specifically in your home. While changing a lifetime of behaviors and thoughts might take years, improving your surroundings to enable the smooth flow of energy can be accomplished in a matter of minutes.

The Law of Attraction involves three basic processes: Ask, Believe and Receive. You focus on what you want so that you can attract it into your life. This doesn’t mean that you wait passively for things to happen. Coupled with faith, you also have to take inspired action toward realising your goals.

For manifestation to occur,  you need to unify the message you are sending to the Universe:

“You can attract happiness and wealth with your spirit and mind but if your home is not telling the universe the same, the universe cannot deliver.”

This is where feng shui comes in. Use it to enhance and harness the energy in your surroundings, thus creating harmony between you and your environment.

1. Ask and de-clutter.
Ask for what you want to have more of in the different areas of your life: health, success, relationships and growth. Be specific with your goals and dare to ask for what you really want.

For new things to come into your life, you need to de-clutter and create space. From your bag to your closet to your whole home, clean out all the excess things that become a virtual burden for you.
a. Wipe dust off furniture, remove cobwebs and sweep the floor.
b. Remove dead flowers or dried plants inside your home.
c. Throw or give away things you no longer use or need.
d. Make sure your garbage bin is always emptied at the end of the day.

2. Believe in your goals and surround yourself with empowering images.
The Law of Attraction can only work if you believe it will. Your faith has the power to attract people who will support you and opportunities that will allow you to achieve your goals.

To reinforce your belief, make sure that your environment reminds you or empowers you to achieve your goals.
a. Hang images or photos that symbolise your dreams such as a happy family picture or a vibrant nature scenery.
b. Remove all images that evoke negative and depressing vibes.
c. Hang posters with positive affirmations on the walls of your bedroom.
d. Put up a vision board complete with images of all your goals and dreams above your bed.

3. Receive your blessings and know your favorable directions.
Be open and expect to receive blessings every day. Be on the lookout for the good things that happen to you, the people you meet or the gifts you receive.

Based on the date you were born, you have a set of favorable directions where you can activate energies of success, health, relationships and growth. In feng shui practice, placing lucky symbols or charms in these directions can help you manifest your goals more quickly.
a. Remove sharp objects in the room that point at you.
b. Never sleep with your feet toward the doorway since it is believed to be the death position.
c. Always keep the toilet lid closed especially while flushing. The downward spiral motion of the water represents waste of money.
d. Remove or cover mirrors in the bedroom that are believed to disturb sleep. Television also acts like a mirror at night.

4. Be grateful.
One of the powers you can activate anytime and anywhere is the power of gratitude. Most of the time, it’s easy to take our basic needs — home, food, clothing and shelter — for granted. While it’s okay to aspire for other things, always be thankful for the blessings that you already have. Remember that whatever you are thankful for, you will attract more of in your life.

Feng shui and the law of attraction are simply tools from collective and ancient wisdom that you can use to empower yourself and improve your life.

testimonials

Without the feng shui consult I always wondered where or why I was going wrong in feeling unsupported or drained in my business.
Kathryn, Adelaide

I wish to thank Lana for all of the work you put into assessing my home. I found her gentle and knowledgeable and very talented in her practice. Lana was concise and I still refer to the chart she mapped out for me when I need to change some aspect of my life that is feeling stressed or drained. It is an undeniably important tool for me to have.
Lauren O’Meara, Byron Bay

Thank you, thank you… much more than I could ever have expected , thank you.
Sandhan, Ocean Shores

We had just finished the consultation when the phone rang and I received an unexpected cheque for something I had been trying to sell; water features really work in your money sector!
Louise, Sydney

Lana is professional, peaceful and a true pleasure to work with, my home is so much more than I ever thought it could be. My husband got promoted soon after also.. it really is amazing!
Jane, Melbourne

Lana was reading things out to me in my chart and it was like having my mind read. We found out quickly and easily how to remedy the weaknesses and strengthen areas that would bring vitality and a better overall experience for us all in this house.
Peter, Sydney

Lana went through the history of feng shui and explained thoroughly what the process was going to be. From taking a compass reading, drawing the chart on the floor plan to flying the stars of numerology and finding out which rooms should be active and not active, everything was easy to understand. I found this incredibly important as a beauty therapist because I now knew which room was right to be quiet and tranquil for facials and which rooms were best active for talking and waxing.
Kim, Adelaide

I thought that the consult would only be about moving pieces of furniture around and I thought that this would be the whole process; just to place something red at the door and to put coins or money in my abundance sector……little did I know!
Trish, Melbourne
